Anyone who follows on our Marcus Facebook page or the Marcus Twitter account knows I am very fond of Zenith, and here at the Marcus boutique we have a great collection, including the Christophe Colomb with its distinctive bubble showing off the self – regulating gyroscopic module which guarantees the flat position of the regulating organ.
Zenith have created the unique movement because gravity has an effect on the accuracy of a watch. As the watch gets moved around the gravity pulls on the components of the escapement in various directions which can cause the watch to lose or gain time. The gyroscopic module keeps the escapement flat at all times which is its best position to ensure accuracy.
Apart from the amazing technical achievements of the Colomb (according to Zenith it has out performed tourbillons from other brands) it is a truly stunning watch.
No doubt you have seen on our site the statement ‘Most Important Collection of Watches in the World’
